Andy Lianghua Xu

A BS/MS Computer Science student at Columbia University with strong passion in network systems and deep learning.

About Andy

As a software engineer, I have work experiences in full-stack web development, core OS kernel development, mobile development (Android). My recent interests also include the design and implementation of wireless multicast systems, optimization algorithms, information theoretical tools and their applications.

In the summer of 2017, I interned at Bloomberg L.P. as a full-stack web developer on the Consumer Web team. I built a web dashboard to monitor active projects under the team and developed d3 visualization tools to track projects progress on GitHub enterprise in realtime.

In the summer of 2018, I will be working at Facebook (Menlo Park) office as an intern.

I have been a research assistant at Columbia University Wireless & Mobile Networking (WiMNet) Lab since the summer of 2016, focusing on the implementation of efficient algorithms for wireless multimedia content distribution systems.

Traveling around the world and watching a lot of unpopular but classic anime are two integral parts of my life. I've been maintaining a list of places I visited/to visit on my Foursquare, just so that in the future I can look back and trace the trajectory left by my footprints.
